Product certificates for building industry
After being in force for more than 20 years, the Council Directive 89/106/EEC was completely revised and transformed into a European regulation, taking into account the experiences (and difficulties) of the Member States, the European standardisation body and the European Commission itself. Compared to the directive, the contents of regulation were expanded and defined more precisely.
On April 4, 2011, “Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011 of 9 march 2011 laying down harmonised conditions for the marketing of construction products and repealing Council Directive 89/106/EEC” – in short Construction Product Regulation (CPR) – was announced in the Official Journal of the European Union.
Steel tubes manufactured acc. to EN 10210, EN 10219, EN 10224, EN 10255 are considered to construction products and therefore subject to the process. For these products Železiarne Podbrezová issued Declaration of Performance.
